JOB TITLE: Literacy Quality Specialist

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
The Literacy Quality Specialist will report to the Literacy
Coordinator.
S/he will work in collaboration/partnership with CDI management,
School Principals, School Completion Programmes and other stakeholders
where relevant to support the delivery of CDI?s literacy programmes.
The Literacy Quality Specialist will be employed by CDI.
PURPOSE OF THE POST: To manage and support the delivery of CDI?s
literacy-based interventions.
CONTRACT: This is an occasional contract role, paid at ?**Apply on
the website** per hour.
Hours vary during the school year but are generally in the region of
**Apply on the website** hours over the academic year.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
_THE LITERACY QUALITY SPECIALIST WILL:_
* Work with service providers to ensure CDI?s literacy programmes
are delivered as intended in terms of ethos, fidelity, and quality.
* Provide mentoring/training support and expertise to facilitators
delivering CDI literacy programmes.
* Undertake site visits and provide quality assurance guidance.
* Produce written reports of site visits and observations to CDI.
* Facilitate ?communities of practice? sessions, and reflective
practice to drive the continuing improvement of service delivery.
* Edit and update programme manuals to ensure suitability for use.
* Work with the Literacy Coordinator to develop partnerships with
organisations which can integrate CDI?s programmes into their
delivery.
* Support and oversee data collection by facilitators and quality
check prior to submission to CDI.
* Support the analysis and dissemination of evaluation results.
* Any other duties as required.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA, QUALIFICATIONS AND/ OR EXPERIENCE
_QUALIFICATIONS:_
* Candidates must have relevant third level qualification e.g.
teaching and/or literacy.
* Three years? experience relevant to the position.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO THE POST.
* Driving Licence and access to vehicle are essential.

* Demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience of evidence-based
practice to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role;
* Demonstrate an ability to apply knowledge and theory to
evidence-based practice;

the ability to collaborate with colleagues and key stakeholders, etc.
* Demonstrate ability and experience of mentoring;
* Demonstrate the ability to problem solve;

evaluate information and make appropriate decisions;

to literacy programmes;
